Pivot Bio
Pivot Bio microbial nitrogen in eastern Colorado
Brett Stone is an independent sales rep for Pivot Bio. If you grow corn, wheat or sorghum, he can help you see whether microbial nitrogen fits your operation.
What It Is
Nitrogen from microbes, not just the tank
Pivot Bio products contain nitrogen-producing microbes that are applied on the seed or in-furrow at planting. The microbes attach to the crop's roots and feed nitrogen to the plant as it grows, so a portion of the nitrogen you'd normally buy and apply comes from the microbes instead.
Because the nitrogen is delivered at the root through the season, it isn't lost to the same weather events that can wash away or volatilize applied fertilizer.

Pivot Bio Questions
What is Pivot Bio?
Pivot Bio makes microbial nitrogen products: living, nitrogen-fixing microbes applied on the seed or in-furrow at planting. The microbes live on the crop's roots and supply nitrogen to the plant through the season, helping replace part of a grower's synthetic nitrogen.
Which crops does Pivot Bio work on?
Pivot Bio offers products for corn, including PROVEN G3 and PROVEN 40, for spring and winter wheat, for sorghum and for cotton. Brett can tell you which product fits your crop and planting setup.
Does Pivot Bio replace all of my nitrogen?
No. Pivot Bio products are designed to replace a portion of synthetic nitrogen, not all of it. Results vary by location, weather, soil and management. Brett can walk you through how to fit it into your fertility plan.
